Workout World, Australia's largest fitness equipment retailer, is donating $40,000 to the Heart Foundation this month through a major treadmill promotion which will run across its New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, Victorian, Western Australian and Tasmanian stores from August 9-31.
Workout World stores* have come together in support of the Heart Foundation through this special treadmill promotion. Workout World will donate $100 from the sale of the first 400 Avanti GFIT300HP treadmills to the Heart Foundation.
The price of the Avanti GFIT300HP treadmill has also been slashed during the promotional period - from $1,999 to $1,499.
Workout World marketing manager Mark Garrahy says its stores are proud to support the Heart Foundation to help the charity continue its worthwhile work. "Workout World is excited to launch this special treadmill promotion to raise valuable funds for the Heart Foundation. The money raised will help the Heart Foundation continue save lives and improve health through funding world-class research, guidelines for health professionals, informing the public and assisting people with cardiovascular disease."
"Some sixty percent of Australian charities reported falling revenues in the past six months, a report from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) and the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) has indicated. Workout World is thrilled to be bucking this trend," Mark says. "Many charities are presently feeling the pinch - and companies should perhaps dig a little deeper at this challenging time to support them."
Heart Foundation Chief Executive Officer - NSW, Tony Thirlwell thanked Workout World for its support: "We would like to commend Workout World for their commitment to the Heart Foundation. Workout World's support will help us raise vital funds as well as awareness of the benefits of a heart-healthy lifestyle."
